Triage X (トリアージX) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shōji Satō. It has been serialized in Fujimi Shobo’s shōnen manga magazine Monthly Dragon Age since 2009 and collected in eleven tankōbon volumes. A 10-episode anime television series adaptation by Xebec was broadcast on Tokyo MX from April 8, 2015 to June 10, 2015. I hadn’t seen anything by Xebec before, but I have to say that it looked just fine. The bloody gunshots, dismemberments, stabs, rips, gouges, beatings, and many other wounds were appropriately juicy. There are currently censors on the versions that are available to watch now, but I assume it will be filled to the brim with giant breasts and butt shots when the home video release comes out. Truly bringing Shoji Sato’s vision of the perfect look to life. I’m not really sure how low the budget is, but it doesn’t bother me. The CGI bike actually looks decent too. (Maybe I’ve been watching some badly low budget stuff lately and am tainted.)
Mochizuki General Hospital boasts some of the most well-trained (and well-endowed) nurses in town. But though these ladies spend much of their day battling sickness, their after-hours are spent fighting a very different sort of disease… Under the leadership of the hospital chairman, a handful of staff members and local teenagers form a group of mercenary assassins, targeting the “cancers” of society and excising those individuals before their wickedness spreads.
